On 19 December 2024, ANRE published an update on renewable energy projects with approved output power of 1 MW or more, as of 1 November 2024.
Key figures are:
o 1,191 projects have valid grid connection permits (ATR), totaling 55,511 MW of approved capacity.
o 610 projects were signed grid connection contracts, totaling 24,884 MW.
o 341 projects were signed contracts and building permits, totaling 12,363 MW.
o 119 projects were signed contracts, building permits, and setup authorizations issued by ANRE, totaling 4,393 MW.
Compared to 1 October 2024, the number of projects with valid ATR increased by 3.3%, while the number of projects progressing through the connection process (with contracts signed and building permits submitted) rose by 9.3%.
Regarding energy storage, 27 projects (1,329 MW) are reported to include storage systems. Of these, 10 projects (158 MW) are expected to be commissioned in 2024. Additionally, 4 more projects have advanced to the building permit submission stage compared to last month.
These numbers are expected to grow positively by the end of the year, as more projects progress through the approval stages.
